Koh Ngai Island Tour

Koh Ngai Island Tour

  • Koh Maa – The island with a horse-saddle shape, no beach but the surrounding rocks and high cliffs offer the most fantastic diving spot. There are lovely areas of shallow water coral reefs, seaweed and numerous fish.
  • Koh Chuak – Comprising two islands with rapid current flowing in between. People, therefore, have to hold the rope while diving. It is the most famous area of Trang for snorkeling where various soft colourful corals are found as well as numerous colourful fish.
  • Koh Waen – This rocky island is shaped like a ring and features lots of swallow nests. This area used to be the location of the first underwater wedding ceremonies in Trang but the ceremony was then moved to Koh Kradan. At present, Koh Waen is well-known for various coral reefs, especially solid species, coral line and fertile fish.
  • Koh Mook, Emerald Cave – Koh Mook is large compared to nearby islands; swimming can be done along the shoreline, the area of fertile seaweed – the most delicious food for dugongs (sea cows). The population is mostly Muslim. Their occupations are fishing, growing rubber and copra. People can get around to anywhere on the island by walking, riding a motorcycle or riding a bicycle. About three km from Sapanyao Pier, there is a small beach called Farang Beach with three-to-four resorts among peaceful surroundings that can be accessed on rented motorcycles.
  • Koh Rok – Koh Rok is one of the 53 islands in Lanta Marine National Park’s archipelago but is also a part of Trang. Two sister islands lying next to each other are Kok Rok Nok and Koh Rok Nai. There are pristine, pretty and powdery white beaches which offer the greatest snorkeling, sunbathing and swimming. Moreover, the diving offers fantastic underwater scenery with visibility normally a minimum of 14 metres. The coral reefs are boundless, beautiful and host to Thailand’s vast selection of tropical reef marine life.

Snorkeling

Snorkeling is also one of the popular activities, with or without a lifejacket. Just get your snorkeling equipment and swim through the crystal clear water in front of the resort to enjoy your time along the coral reefs which are quite long from 0.5 to 1 kilometer and 2 to 5 metres deep.

    Emerald Cave Koh Mook Thailand

    Emerald Cave Koh Mook Thailand

  • Emerald Cave – Also known as Tham Morakot, Emerald Cave is one of the most fantastic attractions of the Unseen in Thailand campaign, is located to the west of Koh Mook. It’s an exciting journey to Morakot Cave, because of the marvelous natural wonders and visitors can reach the cave by swimming one by one into the entrance. After reaching the other side, you will emerge into a large hall with the sky above looking like a large tunnel. There is a sandy beach in the middle of the hall surrounded by high cliffs. Unusual species of plant are found on the beach and the cliffs and the sunlight at midday shines straight through the roof of the tunnel. The reflection of the sea creates an emerald hue as the name ‘Tham Morakot’ reflects, meaning Emerald Cave.

Fishing

The Andaman Sea is well-known for its completely unspoiled nature. Koh Ngai and its nearby islands are also popular sites with submerged rocks with a lot of marine action under the surface. These sites also provide excellent fishing.

Most fishing trips are on our longtail boat owned by experienced people. Fishing equipment is included. The trip is available either for half day, full day or charter.

Kayaking

You can kayak either in front of the resort, around the island or at the famous snorkeling spot at Koh Maa.

Camping at Koh Rok

Koh Rok Nok

Koh Rok Nok

It is possible to camp overnight on Koh Rok, one of the most spectacular islands in the Andaman Sea. This magnificent location is the most distant island from town and preserves a pristine natural environment seemingly untouched by time. For your tropical island dream trip, joining our camping trip will give you a good opportunity to touch unspoiled nature and truly appreciate the wonderful colours of the sea, sky, waterfalls and a tropical island the whole day.
